Ten Felonies in Nine Hours

One man stands accused of breaking a record, but not just any type of record. William Todd, 24, is accused of committing 10 felonies in 9 hours. Police say they have never seen anything like it.

The incidences occurred following a Greyhound bus trip taken by Todd from Kentucky to Nashville. Sgt. Tony Blackburn calls Todd’s spree “terror”.

“He was just on a terror. I’ve never seen anything like this before,” Sgt. Tony Blackburn, told WSMV.

Todd’s Nashville “terror” spree began at a local business called the Slaughterhouse. He allegedly broke into the business, stealing a Taster, revolver, shotgun, and t-shirt, before burning the business to the ground. He then moved on to a local bar where he robbed four patrons at gunpoint, tasering one, and pistol-whipping another.

Five minutes after the incident at the bar, Todd carjacked a taxi driver at gunpoint. He then proceeded to use the credit cards he had stolen from the bar patrons to buy food.

“He was able to find the Walmart on Nolensville. He goes there and purchased $199 worth of items,” Sgt. Blackburn said.

The crime spree didn’t end there. In the early morning hours, Todd broke into a local hotel’s law office. He vandalized office and then proceeded to defecate on a desk and smear his feces on some of the framed law degrees. He left the office where he reportedly robbed several of the hotel guests by knocking on their door and impersonating a female housekeeper while crying.

His spree was paused briefly for a change in appearance.

“We have him on video leaving the hotel with a shaved head,” stated Sgt. Blackburn.

Todd’s next step in his spree involved crashing the stolen cab into a local parking garage before holding up another taxi driver at gunpoint. Police were finally able to catch up to Todd and apprehend him, but not before he partially submerged himself in a water-cooling vat while hiding atop Orpyland. The Metro Fire Department was called in to assist in Todd’s removal from the vat, using a bucket and ladder truck.

Todd’s bond is reportedly set at $180,000.

“He rode the Greyhound bus and had a layover, the left in blue lights,” Sgt. Blackburn said. “There definitely could be more charges. We hope that there are no more victims.”
