Georgia Nursing Home Neglect Lawsuit Seeks Compensation

Georgia Nursing Home Abuse and Neglect Attorneys

A Georgia woman has filed a nursing home abuse and neglect lawsuit alleging that the staff of Reliable Health & Rehab, a long-term-care facility located in Lakewood, Georgia, neglected her mother causing her to become severely malnourished and dehydrated, resulting in her death.

Conway claims that Reliable Health & Rehab failed to adequately treat and consistently document her mother’s pressure ulcers, and that this neglect led to her mother’s death.

Conway’s lawsuit seeks monetary damages, including punitive damages.

The lawsuit alleges the long-term-care facility did not provide the highest practicable level of physical, mental and psychosocial well-being for Conway’s mother and failed to protect her from neglect thereby breaching US Department of Health and Human Services’ regulations.

Conway contends the defendants failed to provide her mother with adequate nutrition and hydration, in violation of Georgia’s Bill of Rights for Residents of Long-Term Care Facilities.

Conway further claims the defendants did not provide adequate hygienic, grooming and oral care needs for her mother, or make an effort to maintain or restore the mobility of her mother.

Conway is also seeking damages for general and professional negligence, wrongful death, breach of contract, and imputed liability, and for violations of state and federal regulations.
